Deploy to Cosmoner

Deploy Django

A Django app backed by PostgreSQL, with the admin enabled and migrations that run on start.

  • Web service
  • Needs a PostgreSQL database
  1. 1. Copy the template to your GitHub

GitHub opens in a new tab and creates a repository from the template on your own account. Public or private both work.

You can keep the suggested name, cosmoner-template-django. The deploy step searches for it.

  2. 2. Create a PostgreSQL database

This app keeps its data in PostgreSQL. Before you deploy, create a database in your Cosmoner project, then store its connection string as a project secret named DATABASE_URL. The app reads its connection from that variable, and the secret stays in the vault.

  3. 3. Deploy it

Choose a project, connect GitHub if you have not yet, and pick your copy. The repository search is already filled in.

When the wizard offers Fill in from file, use it: the template describes its own build and start commands.
