Every PostgreSQL database now has a public host alongside its internal one,
so you can reach it from outside Cosmoner: psql on your laptop, a migration
in a CI job, a GUI client, or an app hosted somewhere else.
pg-<id>.postgres.cosmoner.com:5432
Both addresses are on the database's detail page, and existing databases have one too. There is nothing to switch on.
TLS is required, and the server's certificate is publicly trusted, so your client can verify it without downloading anything:
psql "postgresql://app:<password>@pg-<id>.postgres.cosmoner.com:5432/app?sslmode=require"
Apps on Cosmoner should keep using the internal host. It never leaves the platform, so it is the faster path.
A few clients need a setting changed: very old ones that don't send the host name during the TLS handshake, and anything requiring channel binding. See Databases for the details.
