Every web hosting is now backed up once a night. Each backup stores only what
changed since the night before, and everything in your hosting's folder is
included except tmp/.
7 days of backups are included with every tier at no extra cost. If you want to go back further, keep them for longer:
| Retention | Price |
|---|---|
| 7 days | Included |
| 30 days | USD 0.50 per 10 GB of disk per month |
| 90 days | USD 1.00 per 10 GB of disk per month |
The price counts your hosting's whole disk, the tier's storage plus any extra storage, in 10 GB blocks. A Starter hosting is one block, a Growth hosting is three.
Choose a retention when you create a hosting, or change it at any time on the new Backups tab of an existing one. The tab also lists recent backups and how much space they use.
To get files back, open a support ticket and say which hosting, which night and what you need. Restored files go into a new folder beside your site, so nothing live is overwritten until you move them into place.
See Web Hosting for the details.
