Email notifications
Which emails Cosmoner sends, and how to turn product updates off.
Cosmoner sends two kinds of email to the address on your account.
Always sent
These are part of running your account and cannot be switched off:
- Billing and invoices — invoices, failed payments, refunds, and changes to who pays for a project.
- Security — sign-in methods added or removed, two-factor authentication turned on or off, and password changes.
- Resource alerts — failed deployments, storage limits, paused webhook endpoints, and anything else about your resources that needs attention.
- Support and invitations — replies to your support tickets and invitations to projects.
Product updates
When we publish an entry on the changelog, we email it to every account that has not opted out. These go out a few times a month at most, and each one carries the full entry, so you can read it without leaving your inbox.
You can turn them off in two ways:
- From the email. Every product-update email ends with an Unsubscribe link. It opens a page that confirms before opting you out, so a link opened by a mail client's preview does not unsubscribe you by accident. Mail clients that offer their own unsubscribe button use the same mechanism.
- From your account. Go to Account → Email notifications and switch Product updates off. The same page turns them back on.
Opting out applies to your account, not to a project: it stops product-update emails to your address whichever projects you belong to. Notifications inside the control panel are not affected.
Account Security
Active sessions, changing your password, and the emails we send when something about your account's protections changes.
App Configuration Files
Commit a .cosmoner/deployment.yaml to your repository to describe your app's build, runtime, and environment configuration — the deploy wizard fills its form in from it, and your editor validates it as you write.
